About Us

We are a small family owned business and we met by the flip of a coin: Heads-back to California or tails-Payette, Idaho! Mike and Lynn meet at Apple Blossom Festival 2001. Mike had been going to festivals with his custom built smoker trailer selling his Santa Maria Style Tri-Tip Steak sandwich. Lynn had told all my friends that her next husband was going to be a awesome cook! When Lynn showed up in her new Chevy Silverado Pickup and her new Coffee and Espresso Trailer, and knowing that Mike hates coffee, Lynn guessed that he had told his friends that his next wife was going to drive a really nice truck?

For 13 years, we have been cooking together and working our family business. In 2007, we decided to try a Kansas City Sanctioned BBQ cooking contest and thinking we could sell BBQ at the same time. How easy it sounded? While the first contest meat turn in was at noon and guess when everyone gets really hungry smelling 30 Pro BBQ teams all cooking delicious entries at the same time. Everyone in the county shows up for smoke signals and lunch better be hot and fast! While serving the lunch line, we managed to get our entries turned in on time. At around dinner time, serving the second round of hungry carnivores was when they give out all the BBQ Awards. What were we thinking? An hour into the dinner line, we hear our name called out for 1st place Pork. Our customers told us to go ahead and go get our award but hurry. We have so much fun BBQing, doing contests, festivals, events and creating new dishes and watching the judge from Chopped order our Pork and Beef Non-Carbo plate, with our homemade bbq sauce and grilled onions. As we watched him walk across Salt River fields in Scottsdale, Arizona, I thought to myself, please don't stop and throw our food in the garbage! He walked across the field eating our BBQ dish till it was gone! What a great advertisement, right in front of our line of customers that day!
